I ordered some new Gameboy Color games since I found my system, and got super excited today because THEY CAME IN! :)

I'm caught up! :)

Today, I worked in the mailroom again.

Then, tonight, Heidi and Matt, two of my friends, and I cooked an amazing spaghetti dinner and then watched Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. We watched the first two during the semester, but got too busy to see the third.

Our phrase for the movie was EPIC - because of all of the crazy things that kept going on during the movie.

Then, someone called the duty phone, and Heidi and I ventured out to unlock the door for them in McCorkle. To get the master key, however, we needed to go into North Constitution. This door has been giving Puru and I trouble, so I expected to have problems.

Let's just say they were some EPIC problems, including opening using kicking, and shovels being kicked out by meanies, that will be requiring a work order from Heidi soon. :)

Monday, December 28th

Today I worked in the mailroom for a little while, and then decided to be productive in relation to SAB (student activities board), the organization at BVU which I just became the President of!

Saturday December 26th

Today, I had to go back to campus to be on duty. None of the lots had been plowed, and the only way to get around campus was through feet of snow.

However, Puru and I, the RAs on duty, still had to do rounds. We dug our way through campus with the shovel Puru is holding. This was the worst part - the snow was seriously up to our butts!

Fortunately, this changed by Tuesday. :)

Today, I trudged out of the hotel room and went to the local theater to see Sherlock Holmes! :)

Thursday, December 24th

Today, with the threat of the impending doom of the snow storm, I decided to skip Christmas with the family and drive back to Storm Lake. I did this since I needed to be back the 26th for duty. Therefore, I got to stay in a Super 8 for the holiday :)

While this picture is the aftermath, I think it's relevant to today since it shows how lucky I was I decided to come up early!

Normally, you can see across the street into the windows. However, looking for the driveway next to my bank, the only thing you can see across the street is the tops of the stores! Pretty funny, huh? :)

I've had my PS2 for a couple days now, but I just started getting into God of War II. :)

Today I got new tires on my car! They really needed the face lift, and it was a perfect Christmas Present!

My parents bought a really nice ride-along trailer thingy this summer. It goes with my dad when he is driving truck, so he doesn't have to move between hotels.

However, we are now having problems with it - huge bubbles have started to form on the outside and the inside. Since it's still under warranty, it has to be sent back to get fixed.

Here is a picture of the bubbles (they might be sort of difficult to see)- tomorrow's picture is a picture of the outside. :)

I went around town with Katrina today! :) We've been best friends since high school, and like to catch up everytime I'm home for an extended period of time. :) It was great to see her and shop!

Day 14

I love being crafty.
I found these knitters a couple years ago at WalMart, and have used them ever since.
At my job, Methodist Manor, each CNA gets one resident a gift. However, since we are low on CNA's, I'm doing two.
My residents are both huge ISU fans, so I'm making them red and gold scarfs, and red and gold blankets. :)

Day 13

This is late, I know.

Yesterday I went to a study session for Corbet and Dana, two RAs in P/W. It was tons of fun, and I got told I looked like Mikey.

So, now my profile picture is of Mikey, and it's yesterday's photo. :)

Day 12

Finals are next week.
In order to keep organized, I've always used this white board next to my door.
I'm really excited though because my list of things to DO is SOOOOO short, and I only have 7 days until I get to go home! :(
Unfortunately, I have to work 12 more hours in the next two days...which takes away from my studying time. But then, I get 3 WHOLE weeks off from work at least! :) I'm pretty pumped. :)

Ok, I should go to bed so I can be up tomorrow! :)

PS: I got most of my Xmas shopping done yesterday! It was exciting! :)

Day 11

It's still quite snowy in Iowa.
In fact, I've had to use the tool in the picture quite often! :)

It was a christmas present from my cousin Megan last christmas, and it has been put to good use! It has a mitten on it that is SUPER warm! :)

Day 10

So.

Today, classes have been canceled. Because of snow.

This is the 2nd time BV has done this in 15 years, so it's a pretty big deal.

Well, Kelsey (my co-RA) and I decided that we needed stuff from WalMart, and wanted lunch not from our food service.

The picture above is the snow that we had to get through to get out. We were going to take Kelsey's car because it is bigger, but that failed miserably when we saw the drift it was in.

So, it had to be my car.

Now, for those of you who don't know, I own a Honda Accord. It's itty bitty. FOR SURE.

But, with my pushing and Kelsey's flooring, we got my car out, and went shopping! :)

Once we got out of the parking lot, the streets were pretty good.

I'm going to miss my crazy co-RA next semester. :(

Day 9

I have two pictures.

First is today's picture. Cassandra and I are forever lab partners. Here we are working on homework outside of our local coffee shop while the impending snow doom lurks outside. :)

AND! The second picture is from last night. I went into work, and MORE of the balloons were at the Manor! None of us know what is going on...

Day 8

So.
One of the theatre professors came into the CAE (Center for Academic Excellence) this morning freaking out about the DE Stairwell, saying we had to come see it right away.

So, Theresa (CAE Administrative Assistant) and I decided to go look.

And the picture above is what we found. Over 2 stories of stairwell, filled with balloons...the colors change as you get higher.

Needless to say, it made me smile on a Monday. :)

So.
This is a picture from yesterday, but my picture from today was too fuzzy to post.
Yesterday I went out to PLAZA with my amazing co and her friend from home, Molly.
It was amazing, and here is a picture to prove it! :D

Day 6

This picture qualified because it happened at 1:45 a.m.
In the middle of the night, my fire detector decided that the battery needed replaced. In order to let me know this, it beeped incessantly. There was no way I could sleep through it.

So, I went to get a battery from the RA storage closet.
And then a lot more things in RA land happened. :S
Needless to say, this fire detector started an interesting night.

Day 5

I got a new phone!
It's pretty freaking sweet.
It's also my christmas present to myself! Yay christmas! :)
I'm super pumped. It's an ENV touch, and has a touch screen on the outside with a keyboard on the inside. :)

I'm pretty happy, since tonight is the Christmas Dinner. It isn't Christmas without snow! :)

I've procrastinated before.
I'll procrastinate in the future.
But this is pretty bad.
I have a paper due in my class on Evolution. 5-6 pages. Due Friday.
I have none so far, except for the above pictured books and some scholarly articles I found online.

Welp, I guess I better get to them! :)

Hi!

In lab today, we determined the amount of caffeine in common energy drinks. Carrying two of these around all day made me look like a junkie, and then a nerd with my ACS citation style manual. :)
