Day 42

I'm a Resident Advisor at BVU. As part of our job, we create door decs for our residents.

I've decided to have a music theme on the floor, where we will have an evolution of music bulletin board and old record door decs.

So, I have to buy records for the doors. :)

(Does anyone have any old records they want to donate?) :) :P

Day 41

More biochem, I know.

We use micropippetors a lot. They have disposable tips, like the one you see in this bottle.

My lab partner Cassandra accidentally ejected the tip into the solution. Here is the picture :)

It's really funny and made me laugh for quite a while :)

Day 40

I'm not going to go back and discuss the other days. Let's just say they've been fun :)

Here's a flyer from work. I went back to work for the first time in a month. It was fun, and I've for sure missed it. :)

Day 39

We got another HUGE snowstorm.
Because of this, it is hard to open/close the doors on our dorms. And, if they aren't closed all the way, they beep. Incessantly.

So, it was amusing today when I came down to go outside and this sign greeted me. :)

Here's hoping that's the end of our snowfall for the year!

Day 38

It's Interim.
I'm taking Biochem (all of this has been mentioned before :))

Here is one of our experiments. It's a chromotography column for eluting different size/charge molecules. It's sort of hard to see, but there is a maroon layer at the top which has been separated. :)

Oh, the joys of lab!

I just finished a yummy orange :)

I'm having a great interim!

Day 36

Today is the start of interim.
That means the beginning of Biochem Lab, a fun serious class which meets for three weeks for four hours a day.

So, one of the things I am most excited about today is a card I got for Christmas. However, this isn't just a normal card. THIS is a card from PRESIDENT OBAMA! :)

I'm not sure if I got it because of my work in the Iowa caucuses that launched him, or for some other reason, but I was sure happy to see it. :)

Day 34

I have to post some of my amazing Christmas gifts, too, right? :)
These are just some of the AMAZING gifts that my family provided for me. I love them all so very much - and not just because of the wonderful things they provide - but also for the amazing company I got at our party (normal for the Turners) :)

Day 33

On my way back from New Years Christmas, I stuffed my stuff in my trunk. Then, when I tried to close it, it wouldn't stay closed/lock!

So, the picture is of the display in my car that tells me my trunk is open...which it may be until Spring.
