Day 89-97

You will have to forgive my photo fails.
I'm terribly sorry. But, I won't count days I don't have photos as actual days so there will still be 365 photos by the time I'm done. :)

(May 22nd-May 27th: Total blur. Moved over from Swope, didn't have a lot of free time. Sorry!)

Day 89: Friday, May 28th

On my drive home for Memorial Day weekend, I stopped in Odebolt to fill up on water. There was this little old lady in the doorway who mumbled something as I walked in and I didn't hear her. So, I stopped, and as politely as possible, said "What?" :) She then repeated that she was selling these flowers for her local VFW, and that it was a free-will donation. I gave her a couple dollars, and now this lovely flower resides by my speedometer, replacing the one Kim gave me (previous posts) which has been long gone. :)

Day 90: Saturday, May 29th

Katrina invited me to this masquerade party, which I was at first a bit skeptical about. However, once I got there and realized Corey, Kayce, Kar

Day 91: Sunday, May 30th

My car makes this squeaking noise as I drive. So, when I came home, I brought it to the shop where I had gotten work done before. They wanted 600+ for it. Dad, of course, said no. I brought the car home, and 5 hours and $200 later, he had the problem fixed! :)

That's why it rocks to have an amazing dad!

Day 92: Monday, May 31st

I drove home for Memorial Day, and around Omaha. While I had a blast, my car is sure showing the mileage! :)

Day 93: Tuesday, June 1st

I've officially started my job in the Science Center on campus. Here is a smily face I made with ethanol while I was cleaning a lab bench in the Genetics lab :). Basically, my job is to clean up everything from the school year and prepare the professors for the next year by making solutions, etc. In other words, TONS of fun! :)

Day 94: Wednesday, June 2nd

Another one of my jobs this summer is to look at things we have, and decide if we need to buy more stuff. This is a micro kit for Organic Chemistry, which you can perform a great deal of experiments out of. I organized over 30 of these! :)

Day 95: Thursday, June 3rd

Every day, I write on the board "Grant is..." and add the location where I am if I'm not in my set location in the science center, so people know where to find me.

When I left one day, Dr. Lenzmeier brought his two sons in, who decided to fill in the blank message. :)

Apparently, I'm awesome!

Day 96: Friday, June 4th

This past year has been a blast. To show how AMAZING it has been, I've decided I'm going to print off a bunch of the pictures from this past year and make a little mural for my wall next school year. Here are the first couple ones. (On a side note, your first couple prints through walgreens.com are FREE!) :)

(Saturday, June 5th I was sleeping/working/studying. So, I didn't find a useful picture)

Day 97: Sunday, June 6th

Driving back to the dorms after a grueling 12 hours of work, I noticed some birds on the side of the road! I was literally 10 feet away from these birds. The little birds are so adorable! :)

However, since I was so close, I think I was freaking out the mama bird who started to hiss at me. Whoops!

  1. Looks like things are going well for you. Are we going to see you at Karen's wedding? Danica made her final college decision this morning. Johnson & Wales University (Culinary/Food & Beverage Management) it is!
